Our story

The story began one day when my sister and I were chatting, as usual, about fashion and our love for Gulf abayas. We always felt that the abaya was more than just a piece of clothing, it was a symbol of identity and elegance. Yet, something seemed to be missing. We often asked ourselves: why can't we find a design that blends luxury and authenticity with a modern touch that truly represents us?

Honestly, it wasn’t planned. The idea started as a joke between us, but it quickly turned into a shared dream, thanks to my father, who believed in us from the very beginning and provided unwavering support. So, we decided to embark on this journey together, choosing the name "LAKI" because it perfectly reflects our vision: to create something special for every woman seeking distinction, like a gift just for her.

The beginning was, and still is, challenging. We didn’t know much about design or materials, but we are learning and exploring with passion because we want every piece to be unique, carrying meaning and details that reflect women’s strength and elegance. That’s why my sister and I handle everything ourselves from selecting fabrics to perfecting the tiniest embroidery details.

What makes "LAKI" special to me is that it’s not just a brand; it’s a reflection of my sister’s and my personality. Each design carries a touch of our vision and identity. We wanted the abaya to be more than just clothing we wanted it to tell a story, evoke a feeling, and serve as a medium through which women can express themselves with pride.
